When Michael was still a toddler he and his family moved to Wilmington, North Carolina. Michael was the fourth of five children. He had two older brothers, James Jr. and Larry, one older sister, Deloris, and one younger sister, Roslyn. Michaels dad, James Sr. Jordan, worked for General Electric, and Michaels mother, Deloris Jordan, who worked at The unite Carolina posit as the head teller.
